The Wailing Women

UNDERSTANDING THE WAILING WOMEN MANDATE IN THE NEW MOVE

- Rev. (Mrs.) Chinyere G. Madugba

Who are the Wailing Women?

1)           They are the voice of the Lord to this generation, they are His siren, they are His trumpeters, they are like John the Baptist of old. “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, prepare ye the ways of the Lord, make His paths straight, that is what the Wailing Women are, they are preparing the way for the master. He is at the door, He wants to come and take back His church and the Wailing Women are blowing the siren, alerting the bride to wake up and get dressed for the groom. They are clearing the path for the groom to return for his bride.

2)           The Wailing Women are God’s sample seeds. God, the wise farmer, selects His sample seeds, which He plants and prunes that it may bring forth more seeds. They are His sample, which He intends to show to the world market after processing them. They are presently in the refiner’s fire, in his processing machine. When they are ready for export, they will be brought out to the world market.

3)           They are executors of God’s judgment, God said, “you are my battle-axe and my weapons of war”. When you go the way God wants you to go, you will see Him manifesting Himself in ways you cannot explain. God said we are His co-labourers, what a privilege to be a co-labourer with the king of kings.

4)           The Wailing Women are God’s special military troop. They are in God’s army to be used to dazzle the army of the enemy and to teach Principalities and Powers the manifold wisdom of God.

5)           They are God’s eagles, eagles do not feed on junks, they go for fresh foods. Eagles do not relate with chickens, they only relate with eaglets or their partners. We are not to be found in dustbins like chickens. We must not carry along some excess luggage in the name of friends.  We are God’s facilitators, either with money, cars or houses, or any other aspects. We are God’s pacesetters. We are town criers for God. God has raised His daughters to bring back His voice into His sanctuary.

6)           The Wailing Women are God’s Ambassadors to represent him and show forth his resemblance in all their endeavours. They are his portraits for the world to see, his epistles to be read by men. They are modeling God on earth, His replicas to portray his image in all ramifications.

7)           The Wailing Women are global vessels of the Most High, not just meant for their local assembly or nation but to serve a global purpose.

8)           They are co-labourers with the Most High. God delights to use weak things to confound the strong and mighty and foolish things to confound the wise, so that no flesh will glory in it. The Wailing Women fit so well into this criteria being weaker vessels. He uses them as his witnesses, fans spectators, errand girls, and cheerers.

9)           They are God’s secret weapons, which He launches out when he wants to deal with impossible situations.

10)       They are ordinary women like Esther, laying down their lives for God saying like Esther if I perish, I perish.

11)       They are broken vessels for God that have willingly laid down their lives for the master to walk over them to carry out his bidding.

12)       They are women that have put off the junks of the flesh, women that are not fashion conscious. Women that have no name to protect. Women that are crossing over to the other side, where there is no flesh, nothing about your name, your reputation, a realm where nothing is impossible. God is our sufficiency; God is all that we need in that realm.

13)       Women that hunger and thirst after righteousness. Women that will partake in the fellowship of His sufferings as well as the power of his resurrection. Women that will diligently seek Him.

14)       Women who are the custodians of the truth. One of the problems we have in the church today is that we lack those who will say the truth. It has to be said, and God has decided to raise His daughters to tell the truth even if they perish because of it. We have to lay down our lives.

The Wailing Women are just normal, unassuming, everyday women who have accepted Jesus into their lives, whose lives are transformed and dedicated to the master’s service.

The Wailing Women are the Deborahs of our time, servant leaders, brought in to straighten out things in the midst of chaos and confusion in the church.  They are women who through prayer intercession and lamentation give birth to the destinies of men, nations and the church of God. They are called to warn the church and the nations of God’s impending judgment on sin and to call them to repentance. They are called to restrain the powers and influence of the enemy on the church through the spirit of Jezebel and to turn back the battles to the camp of the enemy. They are a special squad, a detribalized army that God uses to mesmerize the enemy. They are all out to serve the interest of the master.

§         They are ordinary women that have been called, chosen, separated by God to midwife a new spiritual dispensation which will give birth to a new social, economic, political, and religious order in the nations of the world.

§         They are women whose hearts have been circumcised, who have been enlisted in God’s special squad, who are in the potter’s wheel to be worked on by God’s processing machine to bring them to a humble and broken state. Galatians 2:20; women who have submitted their flesh for crucifixion that their spirits may live. Women who have consciously put off the old man and have put on the new man.

§         Finally the Wailing Women are women that understand and appreciates that they are not only weaker vessels but foolish and debased. They know they are not called because they qualify but because God chose to call them. 1Cor. 1:27. They are therefore very careful to return all the glory to the master who called them. After every exploit, they see themselves as unprofitable servants.

§         They are the crown of God’s creation. While men are refined earth, women are doubly refined earth and are honoured by God. They are the sign of God’s covenant with man.

What is God’s mandate to the Wailing Women?

A mandate is an authoritative command that is obligatory or compulsory, a command that must be obeyed and carried out. It is an authorization to act.

The same way God gives mandate to his people, the devil equally gives his own people mandates. The sons of darkness seem to be wiser than us in this regard. For them their mater’s mandate can never be toyed with even when it means their dying they are ready to obey him to the letter. When they have instructions to kill even their loved ones, they do not think twice about it, they simply obey. They are doing it for a crown that is corruptible but we are promised an eternal crown that is incorruptible. We should do better.

God has called and chosen the Wailing Women to carry out some very sensitive assignments for him and a mandate has been placed on them to do it. The assignments are:

1.      Wailing Women are called to be salvagers in moments of crises. This is because a Wailing Woman is an embodiment of solution. Right from creation, in Genesis 2:18, she was created to solve a problem, to be a helper, a suitable companion to take care of man’s loneliness and incompleteness. There were problematic situations in the bible days where women were brought into and they quickly offered solutions to them. For example, Deborah arose, a mother in Israel to bring order and sanity at a time when there was chaos and confusion, when everyman did what was right in his own eyes. She dealt with idolatry in Israel at a time of national crisis.

Esther was raised to deal with a crisis situation that would have led to the total annihilation of all the Jews. She came in to restore hope in a hopeless situation and to bring back life to a lifeless circumstance. (Esther 4:16)

Zipporah, Moses’ wife was used to save the life of Moses and ensure that his ministry was not terminated on the way. (Exodus 4) such crises situations are still with us in our day. Nations are yet to see crisis, homes are yet to see crisis, the church is yet to see crises. God has raised Wailing Women to be salvagers to deal with crises situation. Sometimes some men in authority will need their loins tied with girdles or some nations may come under a siege that will need to be broken, Wailing Women will be called to salvage such situations. There are problems in our homes, churches and nations that need solution, that is why we have been called.

2.      To bring repentance over the sins of the church and the nations of the world. The repentance should be both personal and identification repentance. A prophetic church is one that knows how to bring repentance. Rev. 2:5. We should not only do it but teach the church how to bring repentance over their individual and corporate sins and over the sins of nations. What more they are to bring prophetic lamentations over situations that break God’s heart and over the sins of nations. Not everyone has come to a level in prayer where they are able to bring a prophetic lamentation before the Lord. There is a dimension in prayer, which does not touch God or the kingdom of darkness until you begin to lament. In Jeremiah 9:17, God has called the women to make haste and come and wail over abominations both in the church and in the nations. God will yet bring us to point where as soon as we see certain levels of abominations, no matter where we are, we will begin to wail. The tears of the Wailing Woman are collected in God’s bottle and raised to purge the land and the people and to redeem situations.

We are mandated to not only wail but to teach our daughters wailing and our neighbours lamentation. In other words there should be transference of the spirit of wailing and holy melancholy on those around us. There is a kind of melancholy that is an intercession to god. the wailing women have a call to always bring prophetic lamentation before god and to raise others to do the same. Let not tears dry from our eyes. Let as many as can be mobilized be mobilized and taught to wail.

How to set up wailing women groups

- Sis Ebele Okafor

Sis. Ebele Okafor is one of the State Co-ordinators of the Wailing Women in Enugu, Nigeria.

The ministry of the Wailing Women generally is a powerful phenomenon directed solely by the Holy Ghost. Nobody can actually try to explain exhaustively how the move goes all the time, or claim that she has become an expert in teaching other people how the spirit leads in any operation. It calls for total reliance on the Holy Spirit. One is never sure of what to expect any time except that we humbly yield ourselves under the mighty hand of the Almighty God so that He can do His work through us.

Why Raise Wailing Women in Your Locality?

A study of scriptures reveals that at any time in the history of mankind, God would always have a vision for a people, which they should follow to be saved and fulfill their destiny. “Where there is no vision the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18).

Actually, the people perish where there is no vision and where there are no people the visions perish. But where there are people who can become pregnant and run with God’s vision, men are saved and destinies are fulfilled.

For us to raise bands of Wailing Women anywhere, we need to know and understand the vision carefully. This is because we cannot give out what we do not have. We need to understand that whenever God wants to launch out a new phase of His programme on the earth, He calls women into Intercession to birth the move.

When God rises to judge a nation and women stand in the gap, their tears and lamentation stay God’s hand from carrying out the devastating judgment that could have destroyed the land and the people, (Ezekiel 22: 29 – 30).

The vision for this time is that God is calling out His elect from the iniquitous mainstream of the world’s system – Babylon, to prepare them for participation in warfare, which will help usher in the Kingdom of God both by the birth of a glorious church and a clean nation. And so He is calling the Wailing Women to travail and wail for the emergence of the glorious church and the new nation, (Jeremiah 9:17-18).

Practical Steps to Raising Bands Of Wailing Women

Bands of Wailing Women can be raised in different places, among different people and groups like churches, schools, neighbourhood prayer groups, group meetings, large families, professional groups, associations etc. The different steps taken depend on the different groups and bodies. This difference is mostly in the strategies for reaching out or mobilization.

Generally there are two groupings of people

Group 1: This is the group that has something in common, a cord that binds them together. They belong together; gather together to do a common thing one time or another e.g. church groups, associations, guilds, professional groups, gender based unions.

Group 2: This is the group that has nothing in common. They are just individuals in a setting who do not even know themselves and so do not come together for any reason. In mobilizing this group, you give the invitations individually to a common place where they can gather.

For the group 1, you reach out to them collectively either in their churches or meeting places. Apart from the method of reaching out to different groups, every other step is common to all groups. That means that the procedure for raising bands of Wailing Women apart from this slight difference as well as the approach to training is the same.
